Airlines look to wider redemption options for loyalty programmes

Airlines and consumers are considering new ways to use frequent flyer miles outside of award ticket bookings, according to our latest research.

Frequent flyers crave choice, with our research showing that 61% of travellers look for loyalty programs with a broad spectrum of rewards, while 71% think that the value of a loyalty programme decreases if it offers a limited range of rewards. This goes to show that not all consumers are just looking for a free flight but want the chance to redeem points on something of value to them.
